The Texas Rangers got a tough win over the Boston Red Sox yesterday at Fenway Park with the Rangers picking up the W 4 to 2. It was one heck of a game that folks with Rangers tickets aren’t likely to forget. Baseball isn’t the only game in town. See what other cheap sports tickets are out there.
Rangers pitcher C.J. Wilson (3.23 ERA) got the win, while Jon Lester (2.81 ERA) took the loss for the Red Sox. C.J. Wilson went 6.2 solid innings for the Rangers, allowed 3 hits, no home runs and one earned run with 5 walks and 10 strikeouts. Also pitching for the Rangers was Darren O’Day (1.42), and Frank Francisco (4.07). The Red Sox’s starter Jon Lester went 8 innings, allowed 9 hits, no home runs and 3 earned runs with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. Michael Bowden (0.00) also pitched for the Red Sox. With the win, Wilson’s record goes to 8-5, while Lester is at 11-4. Neftali Feliz earned the save for the Rangers, bringing his saves up to 24.
In addition to the 4 runs, the Rangers scored 9 hits and committed one error. Elvis Andrus led the Rangers in hitting with 3 hits, followed by Nelson Cruz’s 2 hits.
